A hotel in New York - The Marlton

The new hottest hotel in Manhattan right now is The Marlton.  I love the style of the hotel which proudly said that it’s rooms are small but with big ideas. The blend of modern and traditional is totally my style, and I think a lot of inspiration can be gleaned from these spaces.
Small IS the new big after all! :)

*Price start at USD 300 / night

SUMMER 2014 - Picos de Europa

My summer so far has been travelling every weekend for work or for pleasure.  Last weekend, we were in Maredsous, alongside the Molignée river and other marvellous little typical villages.  Now, we are in the "Picos de Europa", in the North of Spain for hiking, cave-seeing and zen moments at the pool -  after walking 25 k, you really need it, trust me ;). So, basically, we spent our evenings sitting on a porch, enjoying a glass of wine (or gin), and listening to music.  These Celtic songs were great in combination with the view we had this morning.....Now we are leaving for the beach in Comillas. hope y'all had a wonderful weekend!!

NEW PONEUVE'S HOME

Hi all

For those who followed the latest posts, you already know I love the freshness and energy of interiors with a touch of nutmeg, pumpkin and other shades of orange.  And guess what !? A client followed me into this idea.  Here some pics of the result ...  - hope you find some that you like, too!

Eco-conscious clients tasked Niche Interiors with creating a stylish and sustainable pied-à-terre for weekend stays in the city.
The open plan living and dining room feature a custom designed eco-friendly sofa made locally in San Francisco. Organic cotton and linen fabrics mix with a silk and wool rug and zero-VOC paints. A vintage dining table is paired with a hand-blown glass chandelier.
A mix of luxurious fabrics, plush organic wool pillows, and tailored upholstery create a welcoming guest retreat. In the master bedroom warm tones compliment the reclaimed wood bed.

Sooo, my eco-friendly client asked Poneuve Design to create a stylish pied-à-terre for weekends in Spain.
Organic cotton & linen fabrics mixed with a silk wall covering in a wooden frame and wright natural paintings gives the client a spiritual place to stay.
Also a vintage table, a vintage cushion and an old table lamp for a little bit more 'cachet' in the living room.
In the master bedroom we decided to use warm tones for a perfect match with the reclaimed bed.

The little porch of the guesthouse at the end of the garden is also done.... we still have to discuss about the interior design with the kids... cause they have carte blanche on this part of the house... :-)
Already love this project !!!

COFFEE TALK

Hellooooo,

Wooow! Mondays can inspire !

I never thought i’d be one of these people. These people who can't live without coffee, but it’s happening. okay, it’s happened.  Like most of us, I have already 3 or more contraptions for coffee or tea — So it's maybe the time for me to have a nice coffee cart, a cart dedicated to my current coffee and tea fixation. here some cute little coffee stations that have inspired me...

New York - Nomad Hotel

Hi all,

Soooo... New York !
Those who visited Big Apple know that the city is full of great hotels, with special concepts and changing interiors.

I had the chance to stay at the Nomad Hotel on Broadway, between 28th & 29th street.

Near to fifth av. and the Empire State Building and on a walking distance of Soho, Greenwich Village (my favorite), Chelsea and Time Square, the Nomad Hotel gives all is charmes to the neighborhood.

Not quite midtown, not quite downtown, the hotel took the name of what was a decade ago a "forgotten" neighborhood.  "Nomad", meaning North of Madison Square Park, the old center of Manhattan, the home to so many moments and memories.

What I realy loved about the Nomad ?
I loved the Neoclassical architectural style, the use of sculptural decoration along conservative lines, the emblematic cupola, the original glamor in the interior with the little details and the service who made me feel like I was a real special guest.

Hope you will remember this post during your next stay in NY ;)

March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb ! So be prepared !

It's already March !!
Woow, the time just seems to fly! It's the sun on my screen that made me realize it :)  Cause now that I started to work for Creneau International as a freelancer I couldn't have some good time outside.

Buuuuut I'm planning to change the terrace to create an oasis for rest and relaxation.
Here some funny, lovely or comfortable ideas for your garden... I'll plan this changes when I'm back from New York ;)
